Obituary

Bertha D. (Duchaine) Stultz, 95 SCARBOROUGH – Bertha D. Stultz, 95, of Black Point Road, passed away peacefully at Pine Point Center on March 8, 2016.    Bertha was born in Westbrook, Maine, the daughter of Joseph E. and Diana M. (Soucy) Duchaine.  She grew up and attended schools in Westbrook, worked at S. D. Warren Company as a paper sorter and also Woolworths Department Store at the candy counter, both in Westbrook. She was married to Paul L. Stultz Sr. for 64 years; was a homemaker and full time mother for most of her life and later joined the family business at Stultz Electric Works before retiring in 1984.  She was a member of the Westbrook Woman's Club and enjoyed spending time with her family.   Bertha was predeceased by her husband, Paul L. Stultz Sr., who passed away on January 30, 2007, a brother, Gerard "Duke" Duchaine, and a stepson, Harland (Sonny) E. Stultz.  She is survived by two sons, Paul L. Stultz Jr. and wife Roberta of Austin, TX and James T. Stultz and wife Cynthia of Windham, ME; two daughters, Diane M. Shepard and husband Robert K. of Brewer, ME and Martha J. Eaton and husband Robert G. of Scarborough, ME, a daughter-in-law, Patricia A. Stultz of Gorham, ME; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A private service was held on Friday, March 11, at the Woodlawn Cemetery. Online condolences can be expressed at blaisandhayfuneralhome.com
