WINDHAM—Bertha Amelia Wentworth, 88, passed away November 6, 2019 at Ledgewood Manor. She was born November 10, 1930, a daughter of Walter and Eva (Saunders) Plummer. Bertha, known as "Betty" was a graduate of Gorham High School. She held many positions throughout her working years such as the Boston Mint Company, Boston Hospital, Udys tire in Westbrook, and the American Journal. Betty was married to Robert A. Wentworth Jr. until his passing in 2014. Betty enjoyed knitting, crocheting and watching the birds. She was a very skilled baker and was famous for her creative and delicious cakes. Betty was an independent woman and loved her Dachshund dogs, Curly and Susie. She is survived by her sons, Tim Plummer and his wife Machelle of Windham, and Bruce Plummer of Windham; grandchildren, Jeffrey Winter, Joshua Plummer, Jeffrey Smith, Justin Smith and Jamie Plummer; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Wentworth Jr.; her son, Larry Plummer; grandson, Jason Plummer; siblings, Rodney Plummer, Kenneth Plummer, and Doris Drew.
