Westbrook-Barbara Foster Libby, 96, a lifelong resident of Westbrook passed away in Portland on Friday, December 21, 2018. The daughter of Robert and Jessie (Stickney) Robinson she was born in Westbrook. Her main priority in life was the loving care she devoted to her family. She was a lifelong member of the Westbrook Women's Club, and was an active member of both the Westbrook Methodist Church and the Westbrook Warren Congregational Church. She enjoyed gardening and doing crafts. She belonged to a group of ladies in Westbrook which started out as a quilting group but turned into a crafting group. She was a member of the group for over 40 years, even attending recently. She was predeceased by her husbands, Lloyd Foster, and Keith Libby, and her companion of 12 years Donald Mayberry. She was also predeceased by her daughter Deanna Becker and brothers, Lincoln and Richard Robinson. She is survived by her daughters Dawn Levesque of Westbrook, Betsy Hermann and her husband Bruce of Rangeley, son-in-law Vincent Becker of Florida, Bruce Libby and his wife Patricia of New Hampshire, Pennie McVicker and husband William of Westbrook, and Jeffrey Libby. She is also survived by her grandchildren Rebecca, Gregory, Christopher, Kelly, Lynne, and Melissa, and great grandchildren Brittany, Ivy, Thomas, Rachel, Christine, Taylor, and Seth. The family wishes to thank the Westbrook EMT's and the emergency room staff at Mercy Hospital for their excellent compassionate care of her. Family and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 4-6 PM at the Westbrook Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee, 35 Church St. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the Westbrook Warren Congregational Church, 810 Main St. Westbrook. A reception will follow in the church hall. Interment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery in Westbrook in the Spring.
