Barbara A. Davis, 72, of Conner Dr., Westbrook, passed away Thursday, Oct. 5, 2012, at Mercy hospital. She was born in Gorham, the daughter of William and Clara (Berry) Hawxwell.  Barbara worked at Claristat in Gorham, Brighton Medical Center and the Gorham House. Barbara loved being with her children and family.  She enjoyed hosting family gatherings for birthdays, holidays, and Sunday football.  She enjoyed cooking spaghetti and lasagna dinners.  She also enjoyed gardening, canning and collecting Barbie dolls.  Besides her family she liked to spend time with friends from work, especially from the Gorham House. She was predeceased by a grandson Shawn Laskey. Barbara is survived by her husband Russell Davis of Westbrook; sons Chris Davis of Standish, Scott Davis of Limington, and Rick Davis of Westbrook; a daughter Debbie Barrett of Limington; brothers Tom Hawxwell of Standish and Jim Hawxwell of Pompano Beach, FL; grandchildren Paul, David, John, Jessica, Brittany, Kaylynn, and Zachary; and great grandchildren Guage, Hailey, Shawna, and Myah. Visiting hours will be from 9 to 11 AM Wednesday at Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook, followed by a funeral service at 11 AM.  Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.  On line condolences may be expressed at blaisandhayfuneralhome.com.
