Audrey Merrow Kenison, 94, died Tuesday June 7, 2016, at the home of her daughter Mary Maley. Audrey was born in Bolsters Mills on June 26, 1921 to Martin L. and Mary Day Merrow. The family moved to Harrison later where Audrey attended a one room school and later graduated from Bridgton High School. She married George Kenison of Gorham in 1940 and he built their home on Spiller Road. Audrey was employed by the Hanold Company in Standish and later was the sample garment maker for Andrew McMillan fashions for 23 years. She loved fabric and continued sewing for family and friends until her death. She enjoyed gardening and was well known for her iris garden which she invited the public to visit and enjoyed during the blooming season. In addition to her parents Audrey was predeceased by her husband George in 1975. She is survived by her daughter Mary and her little dog Amy. A graveside service will be held 2:00PM Sunday June 12, at the North Street Cemetery, Gorham. Arrangements by the Gorham Chapel of Dolby Funeral Chapels 76 State Street, Gorham.
