Westbrook Arthur William Wing Jr., 87, died Tuesday May 3, 2016, at the Springbrook Center. He was born in Dead River, a son of Arthur and Winona (Morris) Wing. Arthur grew up in White Rock and attended local schools. He served his country in the US Army from 1952 – 1958 and enjoyed a career as a long-haul truck driver and as a currier in later years. Arthur was a faithful and active member of the Deliverance Center, formally of Portland now of Arundel, for 40 years, where he was known as the smiling doorkeeper, and enjoyed the loving and active fellowship and support. In addition to his parents Arthur was predeceased by his daughter, Sharon Wing; brothers, Leon Wing and George Wing; and sister in-law, Louise Wing. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years Elva (Searles) Wing; children, Darrell Wing and his wife Christine of Windham, Linda Lucas of Port George, Nova Scotia, and Brenda Trimper and her husband Sherman of Torbrook, Nova Scotia; grandchildren, Jerimiah Wing, Charlene Fischer, Michele Roosje, Mathew Lucas, and Robert, Timothy, and Stephen Trimper; great grandchildren, Trent Hartford, Hannah Fischer, Cody Cross, Shaylene and Celena Roosje, Noah and Alea Trimper, Jordyn and Hailea Trimper, and great great granddaughter Mia Cross. Arthur's family would like to send many heartfelt thanks to all the caring workers at Springbrook Center and Compasses Hospice and Palliative care for their kindness and loving care. A funeral service will be held 10:00AM Friday May 6, at the Dolby Funeral Chapel 434 River Road, Windham. Burial will be held 12:00PM Tuesday May 10, at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mt.
