STANDISH – Arthur W. Bridges, Jr. of Standish passed away on December 9, 2020. He was born on July 10, 1931, a son of to Arthur W. Bridges, Sr. and Glacie M. Bridges of Dayton. For over 60 years, Arthur was married to Joanne B. Bridges; and together they raised 10 children. Arthur enjoyed camping with Joanne and going to NASCAR races with family and friends. He was also an avid gardener whose vegetables and berries were enjoyed by family and friends. Arthur will be remembered for his playful and giving nature. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to his wife, children or neighbors. He will be missed by many and forever within our hearts. Arthur was predeceased by his spouse, Joanne; daughter, Tracy Carlin and son, Craig Bridges. Surviving are his children; Rodney Bridges and partner, Brenda Lovejoy, Mark Bridges and spouse, Clara, Jeffrey Bridges, Sena Hansen and spouse, Ray, Wendy Kampi and spouse Bill, Eric Bridges and spouse, Jaye Harrington, Arthur Bridges, III, and Karla Bridges and spouse, Mark Hollister. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In the spring, interment will take place at Dow's Corners Cemetery, Standish.
