Westbrook  - Arnold " Buddy" Higgins 1959-2015 Arnold "Buddy" Higgins 55, of Westbrook died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, April 22, 2015.  He was born July 17, 1959 the son of the late Arnold & Marie Higgins.   He graduated from Westbrook High School, the class of 1977.  He served in the U.S. Army for 4 years.  Bud was paralyzed in a motorcycle accident in July 1985.  Despite many obstacles Bud made a life for himself.  His family will always remember his unconditional love, strength, courage and determination, Most of all, his heartwarming Smile!   Bud is survived by his three children Hope, Cole, & Carina, and their mother Tracey Huff; three sisters Karen & her husband Philip Morton, Marsha and her husband Tom Caufield, and Beth and her husband Bob Webster; as well as nieces, nephews, and his longtime friend Ute Lestage.   Visiting hours will be held from 4 to 7 PM Thursday, April 30, at Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook. A funeral service will be held at 1 PM Friday, May 1, at the Prides Corner Congregational Church. Private burial will take place at a later date.
