Annette Marie Stevens passed away peacefully on August 10, 2023 at the Gosnell Hospice of Southern Maine in Scarborough. She was born on August 2, 1936 in Portland Maine the daughter of Lionel and Beatrice (Hebert) Hutchins. Annette married Jon Stevens the love of her life on July 17,1954 and enjoyed 69 years of beautiful marriage. They both lived and raised a family in the White Rock community of Gorham Maine. She worked a number of years for the Gorham School Department but her main focus of life was being a loving wife and devoted mother. She had a strong commitment to her faith and was an active member of the White Rock Free Baptist Church where she enjoyed fellowship and singing in the choir. She was also a member of the White Rock Friendship Club and assumed the responsibilities of Chaplain. One of her favorite past times was traveling and belonging to the Good Sam camping organization where her and Jon shared many fond memories. Surviving Annette was her husband Jon Stevens of Gorham Maine, daughter Janelle Down of Gorham, son Laurence (Laddie) Stevens of Eustis; grandchildren Justine Down of Naples, Derek Down of Limington, Clay Stevens of Casco, Kyle Stevens of Yuba City California, Elle O'brien of Pottstown Pennsylvania and Sulo Burbank of Sebago: great grandchildren Axel and Charlie Burbank also of Sebago Maine. A graveside service will be held at the White Rock Cemetery on North Gorham Road in Gorham on Wednesday August 23, 2023 at 1 pm.
