Anne Sabourin, 76 GORHAM – Anne Sabourin, 76, passed away peacefully, on June 25, 2017 of complications from bladder cancer. Anne was born to the late Raphael and Cecelia Welch in Portland, Maine, on June 2nd 1941. She married the late Robert R. Sabourin, the love of her life, on May 5, 1962.  In addition to her husband and parents, Anne was predeceased by her brothers, Dennis Welch, Donald Welch and Michael Welch. Anne worked for many years at Data General working her way up to Inspector of Quality Control before the company closed its doors.  While she never returned to the workforce, she did take over the care of her parents in their last years. Anne enjoyed shopping, yard sales and eating out.   She recently became a 'snow bird,' wintering in Florida with her companion, Hubert Scott (Scotty); who would indulge all of her shopping excursions. Anne is survived by her only child, Dennis R. Sabourin and his wife, Linda M. Sabourin, and their children, Mysti Marie, Kacey Anne and Linsay Rae Sabourin, all of Standish, and Hubert Scott, her companion and traveling partner, of NH. Visiting hours will be held Sunday, July 2nd, from 11am to 1pm, and service at 1 pm at Blais Funeral Home, 35 Church Street, Westbrook, with reception to follow at the Stock House Restaurant, 506 Main Street, Westbrook immediately after. Burial will be private.
