Westbrook – Anne Quealy Ward, “Grammy Anne", 87, died Tuesday July 17, at the Mercy hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Douglas A. Ward and had been married 54 years, when he died in January 2000. She was born in Rolinsford, N.H., the daughter of Lot W. and Harriet Dodge Quealy. In her early years, Anne resided in Methuen, MA., attended St. Joseph Academy in South Berwick, ME., and graduated from St. Mary's of Lawrence, Ma., Class of 1943. Besides her husband, Anne was predeceased by her brother William L. Quealy in 1989. She is survived by 2 sons William and wife Deborah Ward of Winslow and Carrabasett Valley LTC (retired), Robert and wife Mary Ward of Riverside, R.I., her grandchildren Kevin and Pam, Mark and Anita, Derek and Deana, Kimberly, Andrea and Paul, Katherine, Matthew and Amy. Great grandchildren include Jake, Brian, Brett, Brandon, Zoe, Jillian, Hunter, Ryan, Dylan and Payton. Visiting hours will be held Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Blais & Hay Funeral Home 35 Church St. Westbrook. A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, Brown St. Westbrook. Burial will be in the family lot in Rolinsford, N.H.
