PORTLAND, ME – Anna Willette, 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 31, 2022, at an assisted living center in Portland, Maine. Anna was born in New York City on January 22, 1938, the daughter of Joseph and Anna Minisalle. The family moved to Rouses Point, New York in 1969 were she raised her family and became an active member of the community. Ms. Willette was a popular professional seamstress and worked as an office clerk and librarian assistant. As an active reader, her time working at the Dodge Memorial Library was one of her favorite jobs. Anna retired from the Border Press and had special memories working with the Rochester family. Anna enjoyed spending time in her garden and reading in the evening. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, and friend, always thinking of others first. Anna was predeceased by her husband, Donald H. Willette; her sisters, Rose and Jean; and brother, Nick Minisalle and his wife, Irene. Anna is survived by her sons, Donald K. Willette of Maynard, Massachusetts and Keary C. Willette and his wife Lori of Gorham, Maine; grandson, Cameron Willette of Portland, Maine; nephew, Nick Minisalle; and niece, Michelle Minisalle. The family would like to express heart felt appreciation for the kindness and great care provided by 75 State Street Assisted Living and Beacon Hospice.
