Obituary

WESTBROOK- Annie "Anna" Landry, nee Annie Frances Dolan, died peacefully in the early hours of December 22, 2017, at her home in Westbrook. Anna was born in Gorham, Maine on August 14, 1929 to Edward I. Dolan and Rita Delcourt Dolan. Anna was the youngest of three girls and graduated from Gorham High School in 1949. After graduating, she worked for Porteous- Mitchell Department Store in Portland, ME. During a local dance at the Buxton Grange, she met Raymond Landry of Saco. Anna and Raymond married in October of 1953, and moved to Cheshire, Connecticut, where they had their first three children, Charles, Rita and Lawrence. The young family moved to Buxton, Maine, where Anna ran a dairy farm alongside her loving husband. From a different generation, she believed it was her responsibility, and a joyful one, to create a warm and welcoming home for her family. It was in the family's move to Steep Falls, Maine that Anna found happiness in keeping a vibrant vegetable garden and filling the family kitchen with home-cooked meals and abundant baked goods.
