Obituary

Ann Louise Lunt 79, of Westbrook passed away with her family by her side at a nursing facility in Portland, Maine, on May 25, 2024 after a long illness. She was born in Westbrook, Maine on April 7th, 1945. She was a daughter of Arthur and Grace (Lambert) Sidebottom. She attended Westbrook High School and was a graduate in 1963. After high school she went on to work at Fairchild, then married Roland Walter Lunt in April of 1964. They had six wonderful children together, that she loved and was tremendously strong and brave as she went on to raising them on her own, with love, guidance and support from her family. She later worked at the Sebago Shoe Shop for 10 years until she became a certified CNA. She worked at the Barron Center of Portland, retiring in 2011 after 23 years of service. In her final days, she returned there and was shown great compassion by many of her former coworkers, as well as staff from Beacon Hospice. She was a member St Mary's Church in Westbrook where she was a Sunday school teacher, a member of the Prayer group and bible study group. She was also a member of St. Hyacinth's Church, where she was active with the Sodality of St. Anne and the Daughter's of Isabella, and volunteered her assistance with funeral luncheons. She enjoyed playing card games, fishing with her dad and sons, and hiking; picking apples, strawberry, and blueberries; as well as camping with family, and long rides through the mountains of New Hampshire to see relatives and the changing of the leaves. She is proceeded in death by her parents, sisters Dorothy (Ralph) Currier, Alice (Albert) Arsenault, Charles Sidebottom all of Westbrook; a sister-in-law Mary Sidebottom of New Jersey, nephew Arthur Arsenault of California, and great-grandson Luke Crossman. She is survived by her dear brother John Sidebottom of New Jersey, and her children MaryAnn (Donald) Frederick of Ohio, Tina (Colby Sr.) Hildreth of Gorham, Carol (Kevin) Conant of Westbrook. Davin Lunt of Gorham, Brenda (Vincent) Giordano of Auburn and Robert Lunt of Westbrook. Also surviving are grand-children Austin Frederick of Ohio and Shelbie (Nathan) Bail of Ohio; Justin (Sarah) Crossman of North Carolina, Seth Crossman of Gorham, Christopher Green of Gorham, and step-grandkids Kaileigh Hildreth of Mass. and Colby Jr. of New Hampshire; Grace (James) Stockwell of New Hampshire, Anthony (Emily) Conant of Winslow; Kenny Lunt of Parsonsfield; Ashleigh Lunt of Topsham, and Robert Lunt of Buxton. Great-grandchildren include Avery, Ethan, Grace, and Athena. And many cousins, nieces and nephews. The family thanks you all for your extension of love, support, and friendship throughout the years. Visiting hours are Sunday, June 2nd from 6:00-8:00 p.m at Dolby, Blais, Segee Funeral Home, 35 Church Street, Westbrook. Catholic Mass on Monday, June 3 starts at 11am with a procession from the funeral home starting at 10:00am. A burial at St. Hyacinth Cemetery will follow immediately after Mass.
