Windham – Anita Pennell Wilkinson, 81, passed quietly early in the morning on October 24, 2017. She was born in Portland on October 31, 1935, the daughter of Perley and Violette Jones. Anita raised six biological children and many "other" children. She retired in the late 1990's from Catholic Charities as one of the state's first mental health case managers. She was much loved and will be missed greatly by all of those who knew her. Anita is predeceased by her son, Steven Pennell in 1982 and her daughter, Vi Malomay in 2011. She is survived by sons, Laurence of Florida, Jay of Maine, Lee of California, and Albert of Florida; 11 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and sisters, Eileen White of California and Donna Ferrante of Maine. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00pm on Monday, October 30, 2017 at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Road, Windham. A memorial service will be celebrated at 1:00pm on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at the funeral home.
