After several months of declining health, Anita Joyce McKeeman passed from this world to the next, on May 3, 2016 at Maine Medical Center. Born in Biddeford, Maine she was the daughter of Alexina Blanche (Couture) and Edmund Romeo Chartier.   Anita attended local schools and as an adult pursued education and training as a Cobalt programmer. She held various positions at different times including: The Dana Warp Mill, Northeast Bank, Sears (maintenance agreement department) and Catholic Charities in Portland where she was a receptionist.   She is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Ralph W. McKeeman also of Westbrook, a daughter Ann M. Dow of Scarborough, a son Wayne E. McKeeman  and his wife Robin of Westbrook, her grandchildren Scott Anderson and his wife Kara MacBurnie of Portland, Steven McKeeman of Westbrook, Deana M. (Dow) and her husband Ben Perkins of Saco, and Roxanne E.Dow and her partner Chris Tame of Scarborough, great- great grandchildren Josylynn M. MacBurnie and Dash X. Anderson, and her most beloved fur baby- Spike McKeeman .   Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 4 PM Sunday, May 8, at Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM Monday, May 9, at St. Anthony's Church in Westbrook. Interment will be in St. Hyacinth Cemetery.
