Andrew B. Gold passed away peacefully on January 13, 2026 while in hospice care. Growing up in Portland he loved life, from sitting in the sun or fishing at the State Pier, to ice fishing at River Bend in the winter. The past few years he resided at Gordon Green where staff and friends became his family in a safe and inclusive home. 

Andrew is survived by his sister Leslie G. McCrillis of Gorham, Niece Lydia McCrillis, and Nephew Zachary McCrillis and family. He is predeceased by his mother Josephine Gold, his father Myron Gold (retired Portland Police officer). 

A celebration of life will be held this spring. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to Hospice of Southern Maine, 390 US Route 1, Scarborough, Maine.
