Althea L. (Berry) Irish, 91, of Gorham, went into the loving arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on June 25, 2020. She was born on June 3, 1929 in Buxton, Maine, to parents Leroy and Eveyln (Whitten) Berry. Althea was educated locally and went to business college after high school. In 1951, Althea married Clyde Irish and they raised their three sons together. Althea was a very active member of Little Falls Bible Church and played organ for them for over 50 years. She taught Sunday School, led Pioneer Girls, served in VBS, and was very active on the mission board as well as various other leadership boards. For many years she worked at a bank and then as the Activity Director for Gorham Manor. Surviving Althea are her children; Dennis, and his sons Mike (Evangeline) Irish and Brian Irish; Glenn, and his wife Carla, and their children, Sasha Irish, Tristan (Jenny) Irish, Sarah (Tom) White, and Samantha (Tom) O'Day; Tim, and his wife Cindy, and their children, Cassy (Joel) Lloyd, Miranda (Mike) Green, April Irish, Bethany Gosselin, Sebastien Irish, Josiah Irish, and Isaiah Irish. Althea is also survived by her brother Carlton Berry and many great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband, Clyde Irish, and her brother, Earl Berry. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2020 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Dolby Blais Segee, 434 River Road, Windham, ME. Her funeral service and burial will be private.
