Westbrook, Alma Jean Smyth, formerly of Westbrook, passed away Saturday at Maine Medical Center. She was born in Portland, the daughter of Thomas and Beatrice (Andrews) Perry. She lived all her life in Westbrook. After graduating from Westbrook High School she worked in the main office at the Dana Warp Mill and later at S.D. Warren. She was a homemaker for many years. After her children were grown, she worked in the office of the Osteopathic Hospital and Noyes Tire Co. She loved walking the beach and swimming at Sebago Lake, and having lunch with friends. Her greatest joy was being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Alma was predeceased by her parents, her husband Everett, a sister Irene Perry, and a brother Charlie Perry. She is survived by her brother, Harry Perry of Westbrook, daughter Kathleen A. Robben of Westbrook and her partner Stephen Turner; her sons Richard T. Smyth and wife Denise of Standish, Bruce E. Smyth and wife Jocelyn of New Hampshire, and Timothy S. Smyth M.D. of Tennessee; six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
