Alice C. Fairservice, 96, Westbrook, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014. She was born in East Providence, RI, daughter of Raymond and Alexandria Wright and graduated from Lockwood High School, Warwick, RI in 1936. She worked at Dana Warp Mill and Sebago Moc in Westbrook, 17 years in the County Courthouse, Secretary to and Clerk to the Cumberland County Commissioners, Portland, retiring in 1980. Alice was a member, Secretary and past president of A-PA-SUN-TA Club, Westbrook, Past President of Prides Corner Garden Club, a former member of the National Association of Legal Secretaries, Past President of the Portland Club of Republican Women, a member of the Prides Corner Congregational Church, serving in activities and Treasurer of the Ladies Guild, a 50 year member of the Mizpah Chapter #3 O.E.S., was an organist for 37 years and sang in the church choir, Secretary of the Past Matron's Association, and past Treasurer and Secretary of the Westbrook Women's Club. She was predeceased by her husband William Fairservice and a daughter Pauline "Polly" Fairservice. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday at Woodlawn Cemetery in Westbrook.
