Westbrook – Albert Young 86 died peacefully at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House with his family by his side. He was born January 15, 1926 to Frank Young and Isabelle (Doherty) Young. He grew up and worked in Westbrook all his life. He worked at the Dana Warp Mill and the S.D Warren paper company for many years as a Master Electrician. He also started his own electrical business, United Electric. He had a dream to own a piece of property he drove by continuously on Spring St. He finally achieved his goal and built Twin Falls Golf Course where he worked for many years with his family. He was a past commander of the American Legion post 197 in Westbrook. He also had a love of playing the accordion. He was pre deceased by his loving wife of 63 years Yvonne Clements Young in September 2011 and his son Richard D. Young in July 2004. Albert is survived by his daughter Kathryn Boullie and her husband Clinton of Windham. Granddaughters Jamie Wright and her husband Jake of Westbrook, Stacy Schaefer and her husband Tyler of Gorham, Grandsons Andrew Young and Kristopher Boullie both of Westbrook, and great grandchildren Zackary Wescott and Isabelle Wright both of Westbrook, and Devin Pettingill of Gorham. A period of visitation for Albert will be held Friday from 9-11 a.m at the Blais and Hay Funeral Home in Westbrook. A funeral service will be held directly following visitation at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Brooklawn Memorial Park in South Portland. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, Care of Hospice of Southern Maine 180 US RT 1.
