(Albert) Paul Lefebvre, 79, of Westbrook, passed away peacefully at Maine Medical Center on Saturday, March 22, following a brief battle with cancer. Born in Westbrook on February 6, 1935, son of Alice Lavigne and Hormidas Lefebvre. He graduated from Westbrook High School in 1953. He attended Northeast Business School. He married Margaret Mary Thomas on October 29, 1960. They were married 53 years until Margaret's recent death. He was a communicant of St. Patrick's and St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Churches. Paul served four years in the Air Force, stationed in Alaska and Germany. Paul first worked as a manager for the Zayre Corporation. He was employed many years as a car salesman first for Haverty Buick and later for Frank Galos Chevrolet. Paul lastly worked as a custodian at the Barron Center before retiring. Paul was a 4th Degree Member and a past Grand Knight of the Westbrook Knights of Columbus and a member of the Elks Club. Paul most enjoyed socializing and meeting new people. He enjoyed traveling, golfing, playing with his weekly poker groups, and dinners out with friends. Paul was pre-deceased by his wife; his parents; his sister and brother-in-law Jacqueline and William Meador. Paul is survived by his children: Kathleen O'Brien of Scarborough, Theresa Libby of Portland, Paul Joseph Lefebvre and his wife Michelle of Gray, Sharon Perez and her husband Luis of Westbrook; Grandchildren: Brian, Rachell, Evan, Eric and Sydney; Great-grandchild: Gauge; Brother Alphee and his wife Judy of Westbrook; Brother Norman and his wife Pat of Manlius, New York; and a large extended family. Visitation will be Friday, March 28 from 10 am – 1 pm at Blais & Hays Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook ME, where a memorial service will follow at 1 pm.
