Richard J. Warchalowski, 74, of Windham, passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at his home surrounded by family and loved ones. He was born on April 3, 1948, son of the late Leopold and Catherine (Klimek) Warchalowski. He graduated from Bates College with a degree in Biology, then served his country in the US Army and worked for many years as a Clinical Director of a blood bank in Portland, Maine. A life-time Mainer, Richard was a devoted family man who loved spending time playing board games, completing puzzles, and running around the yard with his two beloved granddaughters. He was a diehard New England sports fan, including the Patriots and Red Sox, was a life-time learner, loved to read and debate current topics and politics, and was an avid coin and stamp collector with an in-depth knowledge about American History. He enjoyed the outdoors and lovingly cared for the family dogs over many years. Richard is survived by his wife Margaret (Zienko) Warchalowski, daughter Jill Kapur and her husband Navin, and two granddaughters: Madison and Samantha. Services will be private
