LEBANON—Norma Jane Donnell, 84, passed away April 7, 2020 at Springbrook Center in Westbrook surrounded by her family. Norma was born on January 22, 1936, in Rochester, New Hampshire, the only child of Sameon and Hazel (Brock) Corbett. After graduating from Spaulding High School in Rochester, New Hampshire, she went on to graduate from beauty school. In 1955, she married Richard Doherty and together they started a family. Norma worked as a beautician, owning and operating her own business, Elite Beauty Salon while raising her family at the same time. After being widowed with a young family, Norma was remarried to Eugene Donnell in September of 1969 and added two more sons to the family. Norma was a loving mother and grandmother, and will be missed dearly by her family. She is survived by her husband, Eugene Donnell of Biddeford, ME; children, Kathy Doherty and her wife, Pat of Rochester, NH, Danny Doherty of Rochester, NH, Tracey Doherty and her husband Justin of Rochester, NH, Dennis Doherty and his wife Janet of Roseville, CA, Dale Doherty of Port St. Lucie, FL, Darren Donnell of Sanford, ME and Glen Donnell and his wife Wee of Durham, NC; many grandchildren; great grandchildren; as well as her life long friend, Gloria French of Shapleigh, ME. She was predeceased by her first husband, Richard Doherty; and her granddaughter, Jessica Donnell. No services are being held per Norma's wishes.
