Melissa Jo Libby, 54, of Limington, Maine, passed away on March 15th, 2024 at Gosnell Memorial Hospice following a brief illness. Melissa was born in Portland, Maine on April 18th, 1969 to Joseph Sanford Welch and Bonnie Mae Welch. Melissa graduated from Windham High School in 1988 and went on to marry Christopher Allen Libby in 1996. She worked as a personal care attendant and was adored by those she cared for. Anyone who knew Melissa knew her extreme passion for shooting darts. She was a staple in the dart community, play on teams in both the Central Main Dart League and Gray-New Gloucester Dart League for the last decade. Melissa was also known at the dart tournaments up and down the East Coast, particularly, New England. Survivors include; Melissa's husband, Chris; her four children; Andrea, Brice, Cameron, and Deedrah, along with three grandchildren; her mother Bonnie; her brother Michael and sister Melanie, and two step sisters Samantha and Lindsey. She was predeceased by her father, Joseph and sister Megan. A celebration of life and a benefit Dart Shoot will be held at a later date to be announced.
