Gorham – Marjorie P. Morton, 93, passed away on January 11, 2016, at the Gorham House. Marjorie was born on October 17, 1922 the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Mitchell) Sirles on Deer Island, NB Canada. She married Kingsley Pendleton on July 5, 1942 and after several years they relocated to Falmouth, Maine. She was a faithful and dedicated employee of Shaw's Supermarket for 25 years. She was also a nature lover who loved bird watching and walking with friends. She was a great cook, enjoyed needlework, and being surrounded by her family. After Kingsley died in 1971, she married Woodbury Morton on November 10, 1979, and was happily married until his death in 1995. She is survived by her son, Larry Pendleton; daughters, Leanne Broome and husband Tom, and Loretta Johnston and her husband Harvey; step-children, Karen Morton-Clark and Kevin Morton; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Marjorie was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Jo-Ann Pendleton; brother, Arthur Sirles; and sisters, Winifred Eaton, Mildred McKenny, and Polly Hooper. She will be greatly missed and remembered forever. A period of visitation will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2016, from 1pm until the time of the memorial service at 2pm at the Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Rd., Windham.
