Leland E. "Buddy" Crawford Jr.

August 23, 1953 - March 31, 2022

Leland E. "Buddy" Crawford, Jr., 68, passed away on March 31, 2022 at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway after a relatively short illness. Buddy was born August 23, 1953 in Portland, Maine to Leland and Beulah Crawford. Buddy spent his early years residing at Pineland Hospital in Pownal, Maine. Once Pineland closed, Buddy was moved to the Pleasant Street Assisted Living Facility in Norway, Maine. Buddy was well loved and cared for by his caretakers at Pleasant Street and has resided there for over 30 years. The family cannot thank them enough for their kindness, caring and compassion throughout his life. Buddy is survived by his brothers, William Crawford, of Buxton, Maine, Terrence Crawford, of Clermont, Florida and his sister, Beverly Roberts of Poinciana, Florida. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Lawrence Crawford, of South Portland, Maine and his sister Ginger Hatt, of Westbrook, Maine. An hour of visitation will be held on Friday, April 8 from 10:00am to 11:00am at Dolby, Blais, Segee Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook with a Funeral Service starting at 11:00am. Pastor Dave Reiss of Bar Mills Community Church will be officiating the service. Burial will follow at Brooklawn Memorial Park.
