Helen Elizabeth Libby We are heartbroken to announce that our dear beloved Helen Elizabeth Libby was tragically taken from us. Although we are devastated, the grey days loom, the light warming our hearts is knowing she is with all who have passed from her great grandparents, friends and all her pets from childhood and most recent. Helen was a person of tremendous courage, strength and most importantly love as she loved everybody and shared kindness to all. She loved animals and one day this year on a visit to see us she came upon a deer hit by a car, she pulled over, dragged the deer to the side of the road and held her in her arms, gave comfort until the police arrived. This is who she was. A kind and caring person who would do anything for an animal or anyone in need. Helen was a mother to four beautiful children who she was raising to be caring, respectful and most of all to share kindness. She loved spending time with them, teaching them about nature and life. Nature walks, planting flowers, swimming at the beach, and collecting all kinds of treasures the ocean would stir up, finding crabs that they would all hold in their hands together, and coaching soccer for both her girls. She cared so much for her children and always made sure to be the very best mother she could be. Living in her memory are Audrey Rose age 7, Amelia Iris age 5, Alistair Cedar age 2 and Alden Birch age 1. We were very proud that Helen was the first in her immediate family to graduate from college while working full time and raising her two girls. Her degree in Early Childhood Education, certification as Behavioral Health Professional as well as a foster family support worker. She was thankful for her time with Woodfords family services and most recent with Creative Explorations in Windham. Where she cared for many children and was most recently promoted to director. She was very proud of her work and to be surrounded by wonderful people who cared for children and each other. As a child Helen became a big sister at age four to her brother Jared. She and Jared spent a lot of time in the woods, climbing trees, looking for snakes and frogs and days at Dundee Park swimming together. She loved sports, playing little league baseball. She always said good job to anyone making it to her first base. Then soccer, basketball and transition to softball. She had many wonderful memories of those times with her friends. We loved watching her play. A bruins fan, times spent with her special friends from childhood and school who would follow the Bruins season after season and attend games. Helen filled our hearts with joy and made us the happiest of people. Helen, words can't even begin to describe what you meant to us. We all loved you; you were our everything. We could not be more thankful for you Helen, for giving us four beautiful grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. To my daughter, sister, Helen Elizabeth Libby; we love you so much our beautiful Angel. We will hold all the wonderful memories in our heart and keep your spirit alive in your children. Keeping her memory alive, her mother, Dianne Baggs; father, Ronald Libby; brother, Jared Libby; grandparents, John and Priscilla Baggs, and Connie and Norman Wing; many aunts and uncles, to name a few, Joseph and Deborah Baggs, John Baggs, Jr., Sherri Libby; Scott Libby; many cousins, to name a few, Evan Baggs and Brittney Libby; many friends, to name a few so special to her; her second mom, Laurie Carlson and her son Ben, Laura, Jesse, Bryce, Jake. Russell and Mary Quinn, and Robert Quinn the father of her children. Please keep her spirit alive by sharing a random act of kindness to a stranger, someone in need. Say thank you, hold a door open and share a beautiful smile with someone. Care for the planet and all God's creatures. Relatives and friends are welcome to a memorial visitation Saturday January 6, from 3:00PM – 6:00PM at the Windham Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee 434 River Road, Windham.
