Standish- Timothy S. West, 58, of Standish, passed away peacefully at his home on March 28, 2017. He was born in Portland Maine on August 8, 1958, the son of Nelson and Geneva (Verrill) West. He grew up in Westbrook, where he met the love of his life, his wife Kathleen Allard. He loved the outdoors, gardening, camping, boating, fishing, and fast racecars. Beechridge was a big part of his life. Tim drove tow trucks for years, and in his younger years he worked for the railroad. He loved spending time with his family. His very best friend was his sister Sandra, who was by his side when he took his last breath. He is survived by his wife Kathleen West, his sons Eric West and Timmy West, his daughter Michelle Downs, his stepdaughter Ashley Tash, and his stepson Mark Smith Jr. His sister Sandra Douglass and his Brother David West and his wife Luanne. He is also survived by his nieces Pam Morse and her husband Donny, Tina Gray and her husband Chris, and Lorie Douglass, his five grandchildren who lived with him, Brooklyn, Lexi, Bentley, Jaxson, and Ava. Tim's family would like to thank Casco Bay Dialysis for the great care they gave him, where he was known as "Grumpy" by his special friends Alice "the Queen", Richard, Jim, Joyce, and John. Also, a special thank you to Hospice of Southern Maine. Family and friends are invited to attend an hour of visitation on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Dolby Funeral Chapel, 434 River Rd. Windham. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 11:00 AM.
