Sharon Louise McKeeman, 68, formerly of Westbrook, passed away Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017 at Portland Center for Assisted Living. She was born in Portland and raised in South Portland, the daughter of Joseph and Dorothy (Thomas) Thompson Sr. She worked as a CNA for Beacon Hospice for many years. Sharon was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Westbrook and very active in church events and as a catholic educator. She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, the Franciscans, and Catholic Charities for many years. Sharon was a generous, giving person. She enjoyed helping anyone in need, often taking people into her home and helping them with their needs. She was a wonderful and thoughtful caregiver. Her family was very important to her. She was predeceased by her husband Frederick McKeeman; her brothers Joseph Thompson Jr and John Thompson. She is survived by her daughter Becky Graffam of Westbrook; sons Frederick McKeeman of Portland and Patrick McKeeman of Portland; grandchildren Mimi McKeeman, Sadie and Nate Rhinehardt, Madison and Caitlyn McKeeman. And Renee Graffam. Visiting hours will be Monday from 5 to 7 PM at Blais & Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook. A Catholic Mass will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 8, at St. Anthony's Church, Brown St., Westbrook. Interment will be private in New Calvary Cemetery, South Portland.
