Robert (Bob) Preston, 81, passed peacefully on November 10th, 2024. He was born August 10th, 1943 in Westbrook, son of Wilbur and Freda Preston. Bob attended Westbrook High School, where he met his wife, Carol. They eventually married and raised five children together. He was predeceased by his wife, parents, his son Steven, and his sister Carolyn (Kay) Bellerose. Surviving is his daughter, Jana Swift and her husband, Robert (Bert) of Gorham, sons, Rick Preston of Westbrook, David MacDonald and his wife, Judy of Norway, and Jeffrey Patterson of Portland; nine grandchildren, Mysti, Bobi, Billee, Devin, Josh, Logan, Haley, Chelsea, and Robbie; and their families; two brothers, Richard Preston and his wife Linda of Hope, and Steven Preston and his wife Elaine of Casco. Robert was a proud Veteran of the Army National Guard from 1964 to 1970, serving as an Armor Crewman. He was also an outdoorsman at heart, whether it be golfing at Sunset Ridge or exploring scenic trails with his daughter. He would always search for ways to connect with family and friends through golfing, bowling, hunting, and fishing. The family would like to thank The Enclave of Scarborough, Maine Medical Center, and the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House for all of their care and support. There will be a service at Woodlawn Cemetery on November 22nd at 1:00pm, with a reception to follow at the Westbrook American Legion Post 62 on 17 Dunn Street, Westbrook ME.
