Windham - Raymond A. Martin, 85, of Windham peacefully passed away in Portland on November 7, 2018 with family by his side. The son of Andrew and Marie (Bernard) Martin, he was born on June 13, 1933 in Westbrook. As a boy he was a member of the Boy Scouts. While in high school he worked at Vallee's Drug Store in Westbrook. While working here he met Constance Cote who also worked at the store. A romance began that eventually led to marriage. He graduated from Cheverus High School and then joined the Navy. After his discharge he married Constance and they settled in Westbrook to raise their family. He worked for 39 years at S.D. Warren. While working at the mill he enjoyed bowling in the Mill's league. He and Connie enjoyed line and square dancing. They also enjoyed wintering in Florida for 11 years. Raymond is survived by his wife Connie of 64 years, his children, James Martin and his wife Zhijie Gao of Maryland, Jaqueline Rallis of Windham, and Gregory Martin, and his wife Shirley of California. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son-in-law Stephen Rallis. Services will be private. Arrangements are under the care of the Westbrook Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee.
