Paul A. Chretien, 66, of Westbrook died Monday, January 30, 2012 at Mercy Hospital. He was born in Westbrook, the son of Albert and Marion Libby Chretien. He was raised and educated in Westbrook. He served in the Navy from 1966 to 1968 aboard the USS Plymouth Rock. He later graduated from the Portland School of Fine and Applied Art Majoring in Photography. For the next 35 years he owned and operated Chretien Studio. He was a member of the Maine Professional Photographers Association and Past Commander of the Stephen Manchester American Legion post 62. Paul was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary Lou Harriman Chretien, sister Ann-Marie Cote and husband Marcel of Westbrook, brother Joseph Chretien and wife Susan of Benton, niece Dianna cook and husband Dexter, nephews Patrick Cote and Yasue Fukushima, Daniel Cote and Amanda Cady, Keith Chretien and Emily Ruddick, Kyle Chretien and wife Lear. There will be no visiting hours, a memorial funeral mass will be Friday at 10:00 AM at St. Anthony's Church. Spring committal will be at St. Hyacinth Cemetery.
