Patricia Ann (Flynn) Swett died peacefully Saturday evening just before sunset at her home on Sebago Lake in Standish following a decades long battle with multiple sclerosis. She was born in Auburn, on May 20, 1941 daughter of late the Raymond and Doris (Davis) Flynn. She was educated in Lewiston, Maine and graduated as an R.N. from Central Maine General, now Central Maine Medical Center. As a nurse she was employed by Central Maine General, Mercy Hospital and Maine Medical Center. After retiring from nursing, she volunteered for the American Red Cross and for substance abuse programs in local schools. She enjoyed gardening and sharing memories of her grandparent's farm in Auburn. She advocated for those that couldn't speak for themselves and cared for those who couldn't care for themselves. She married the love of her life Alfred E. Swett and lovingly embraced his daughter Elizabeth (Swett) Waldman, his son Alfred W. Swett and their families. She is predeceased by her husband and her brother Michael. She is survived by her brothers David A. Flynn of Lyman, Timothy J. Flynn of Lewiston, her children Cynthia L. Swett and her husband Norman Maze, Scott D. and his wife Marie Swett, Daniel J. and his wife Tammy Swett of Raymond, as well as her grandchildren Ashton, RubySkye, Delanna, Alasdair, Delia, Ariella, Aden and Ethan. Visiting hours will be held from 5 to 8 PM Wednesday at Blais and Hay Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook. A Mass of Christina Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Thursday at Saint Anthony of Padua in Westbrook. Interment will be in St. Hyacinth Cemetery.
