Portland- Mackenzie Glo Pizzo, "Kenzie", 15 passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Maine Medical Center. Kenzie was born on March 14, 2001 to Joseph Pizzo III and Terri (Lathrop) Pizzo. She has lived in Falmouth and has attended Falmouth Schools through 8th grade and was currently a freshman at Deering High School in Portland. Kenzie had many friends at her Church Youth Group, at First Baptist Church in Portland who were like brothers and sisters to her. Youth group on Wednesday nights was the highlight of her life. She had many friends at Deering High School who made her look forward to going to school every day. People mattered more to Kenzie than anything, and her favorite person in the world was her big sister Adrienne. Her faith in Jesus Christ was an inspiration to all . Kenzie loved music and she loved to dance around the house with her headphones on, and she loved taking train trips from Portland to Boston to hang out with her sister Adrienne who lives there. Kenzie had a knack for appreciating the little things in life, forgiving quickly, apologizing immediately when necessary…and never feeling sorry for herself. Mackenzie is survived by her Mom Terri Lathrop Pizzo, her Dad Joseph Pizzo III, big sister Adrienne Pizzo, Nana and Grampa, Gloria Clark Lathrop and Lloyd Lathrop Jr, Grammi and Grampi, Sharon Roberts Pizzo, and Joseph Pizzo Jr, Great Grandmother Eleanor Roberts, and many many aunts, uncles, great aunts, great uncles and cousins. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 12, 2017 at the First Bapist Church, 360 Canco Road, Portland, from 1:30 to 3:00 PM, a service will follow at 3:00 PM. Reception will immediately follow the service at the First Baptist Church.
