Obituary

Kimberly Mark McKenney, 63 WINDHAM – Kimberly Mark McKenney...Just can't believe time's all gone...Our dear brother Kimmie went to be with his beloved Rottweiler Stein and the rest of his Rottie babies Dozer, Shatzee, Buddy, Zeus and Elizabeth, his parrot Chicky Bird along with several other little birds and a bunny named Dinkette on March 22nd , 2023. Kim was born on August 19th , 1959 in the town of Danvers, Massachusetts to Norman Falker and Norma Louise (Libby) McKenney and resided with his family in Middleton, Massachusetts until moving back to Limington, Maine not long after his birth, which became home to Kim. It was there in Limington where dad taught his boys how to hunt and fish and Kim would grow up enjoying hunting and fishing with his dad and his three older brothers. Kim really liked being outside in the woods where he loved the peacefulness and beauty of nature. Kim picked up guitar at a young age with his brother, Dale, and learned how to play by ear and mastered it in no time. We would enjoy listening to them playing their guitars and singing in the living room where we'd laugh and have good times. Kim joined Dale in the Woodland Band when he was in his late teens and they would go on to have many memories together playing in the band and the different places they'd see. Kim was awesome on the acoustic guitar and playing the harp and singing. It was the era of Southern Rock and he loved it. Kim had various jobs, but it was while working for Unitrode in Westbrook where he met Regina, and they fell in love and got married. While together, they got a Rottweiler, Elizabeth, and Kim just loved the breed. Kim and Regina would eventually become divorced and Kim got custody of Elizabeth. From then on, it was Kim's love of his Rotties that would keep him going. They truly were his world. Kim loved animals. He had a newborn wild baby bird brought to him that had fallen out of its nest. It did not have its feathers yet and was very weak. Kim took loving care of that little bird he named Newt and raised it until it was strong enough to fly off on its own. He would try to release it several times, but it always flew back to him. It eventually decided it was time to go out on its own, and it did. Kim was self-taught on computers and became a whiz on them. Kim also enjoyed traveling the coast and exploring lighthouses with his cherished friend, Zanaya. They truly enjoyed each other's company and had many good times together. As Zanaya said, Kim had a great laugh, and he really did. He was a jokester and loved to laugh and have fun. We will all remember that wonderful laugh and his twinkling blue eyes... those beautiful blue eyes. Kim lived in Westbrook for most of his adult life. In January of 2017 he was forced to move to Windham after having suffered multiple strokes in June of 2016. He surrounded himself with his second passion, computers and loved to game. We will carry you in our hearts forever, Kimmie. Love you so very much. Kim is in heaven with his dad, Norman, his mom, Norma and his oldest brother, Stephen F. McKenney along with his cherished Rottweilers, Chicky Bird and others. Kim is survived by four brothers and sisters: Bonnie McKenney Rogers and her husband Fred of Center Conway, New Hampshire, sister-in-law Vicki, wife of the late Stephen F.
