PORTLAND—Barbara A. Long passed away at the age of 100 on Tuesday August 14, 2018 at the Barron Center. She was born in Farmington, Maine on January 14, 1918, the daughter of the late Leavitt H. and Iona Berdena (Bachelder) Luce. Barbara was a graduate of Farmington High School. She spent 25 years working as a teller at Key Bank and later co-owned Long Insurance Company in Portland with her husband, Irvin. She is survived by a daughter, Connie Parlin; six granddaughters and two grandsons; several great grandchildren; and two nephews, Paul Ross and Steven Nickerson. She is predeceased by her husband, Irvin E. Long; a daughter, Carol Corbeau; a sister, Gladys Stover; two grandsons, Danny Sullivan and Joel Sullivan. The family would like to thank the kind and caring staff at The Barron Center. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 1pm at the Gorham Chapel of Dolby Blais & Segee; 76 State St., Gorham, ME 04038.
