Adam Perron suddenly passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2016. Adam was born in Bridgton on July 17, 1986 to Dianne Parker and Jeff Perron of Bridgton. He attended Lake Region Schools, where he met the love of his life Elizabeth "Beth" (Gwozdz) Perron. Adam graduated with a degree in ecology and environmental science from the University of Maine in 2008. In 2010, Adam married Beth after a cross country road trip from Missoula, Montana to Naples, Maine. The two eventually became residents of Harrison and welcomed Abigail Katherine, their daughter, into their lives on September 6, 2014. Adam was a devoted, loving husband, and an adoring father. Upon moving back to Maine, Adam continued his work at the Lakes Environmental Association in Bridgton, where he started working at the age of 15 as an intern. There he led the education program and eradicated milfoil in the Songo River as a scuba diver. Adam's love of education continued into a position at Lake Region Middle School as a 7th and 8th grade science teacher. Even though he only taught for one year, he left a lasting impression on his students. He was also enrolled as a graduate student at the University of Southern Maine and an education major. Adam had the ability to engage and inspire students who never connected with science before. His involvement with LRMS also included playing in the staff band during pep rallies, co-leading the National Junior Honor Society, and participating in the students vs. teacher basketball game. Adam loved his community and even served on the Harrison Planning Board. In his spare time, Adam enjoyed hiking, playing music, and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth (Gwozdz) Perron; one daughter, Abigail; his mother and father Dianne Parker and Jeff Perron of Bridgton; his sister, Heather Perron of Bridgton; two nephews, Tyus and Ashton; his mother and father in law, Jack and Joann Gwozdz of Naples; a brother in law, Jack IV of Brunswick; his grandfather, Raymond Perron of Gorham; aunts and uncles, Linda and Peter Scala of Windham, Bruce and Tena Perron of Windham, Mark and Vicki Perron of Cape Coral, FL, David and Stephanie Perron of Gorham, Angie Perron of Sullivan, Judy Parker Day of Portland, and Kathy Parker of Portland. The family will be having a celebration of life for Adam in the Field at the entrance of LEA's Holt Pond Preserve on the corner of Pearly Road and Chaplins Mills Road in Naples on Sunday the 24th at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Adam Perron Scholarship for Educators, which will help those who want to become teachers at any time in their lives go back to school. As we are in the process of setting up the fund, checks can be mailed c/o Elizabeth Perron 31 Walker Mills Rd, Harrison, ME 04040.
