WINDHAM - Stephen D. Libby passed away peacefully at home on September 10, 2021 with his two sons and grandson Garrett by his side. Steve was born to Glenn and Gladys (Hayes) Libby on April 10, 1949. He lived most of his life right there on Libby property in Windham with generations before and after him as well. Steve married his "Sweetie" Linda Louise (Higgins) Libby in 1978. Before Linda's passing in 2019 they had been married for 41 years. Through those years they owned and operated several businesses including, Libby's Rent All - Libby Energy - and - S.D. Libby & Sons Transport. He was proud to be a lifelong member of Presumpscot Lodge. Steve especially embraced time spent on the Libby family property on Dundee Pond, specifically "Herm Haskell Cove" & "Glenn Libby Point". Whether it was family reunions with many gathering together or just he and Linda alone to watch a sunset, each moment spent there was truly precious to him in its own way. Steve is predeceased by his parents, Gladys & Glenn, siblings, Stanley & Jane, and wife Linda. He is survived by two sons, Allen D. & wife Tammy Jean, Adam W. & wife Wendy; his number 1 grandson and right hand man, Garrett & partner Charlene; seven other grand-grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, along with nieces & nephews. A private family burial is to be held.
